Registration Questions

DOB of participant: must be 15 for lifeguarding by the last day of the course. ***Please type "I understand" or else your registration will be voided. *
If I'm adding waterfront to my lifeguarding class, it will require an additional 7.5 hours of training. *
I understand that the prerequisite for Lifeguarding is 1.Swim -Tread-Seim - 150 yard swim - Two min tread with no hands - 50 yards to finish -THERE IS NO STOPPING FOR ANYTHING. 2. Timed Event -Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds. • Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. - The face may be in or out of the water. - Swim goggles are not allowed. • Surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. • Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping the face at or near the surface. • Exit the water without using a ladder or steps. *
I understand that the prerequisites for Waterfront Lifeguarding are: Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence • Swim 350 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. - Swimming on the back or side is not permitted. - Swim goggles are allowed. • Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs. • Swim 200 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. Prerequisite 2 Timed Event Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds. • Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed. • Surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 10 feet (consistent with the maximum water depth participants will train in ) to retrieve a 10-pound object. • Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping the face at or near the surface. • Exit the water without using a ladder or steps. Prerequisite 3 Underwater Swim Swim 5 yards, submerge and retrieve three dive rings placed 5 yards apart in 4 to 7 feet of water, resurface and continue to swim another 5 yards. There are no refunds for not passing the pre-requisite. *
I understand that Participants are required to wear bathing suits that are suitable for rescue scenarios and adhere to appropriate standards of modesty and functionality. *
I understand that I will receive a link to access the manual. It is my responsibility to either order the manual at the time of purchasing this course (at least 7 days prior to the class starting), print it, or purchase it yourself from The American Red Cross. Having the manual is mandatory for all class sessions. *
I understand that any unprofessional behavior, horseplay, or engaging in dangerous activities will lead to immediate dismissal from the course without a refund. Furthermore, individuals engaging in such behavior will be prohibited from enrolling in future courses. Examples include, but are not limited to: cursing, splashing, disregarding instructions leading to improper rescue techniques, unauthorized use of equipment or accessing restricted areas, and leaving the designated training area without permission. *

In the event that a location is closed due to weather or anything out of 30 to 2 LLC's control- there ARE NO REFUNDS you will be able to attend any class in the next 4 weeks to make up for cancellation. Aquatic classes will run May - July 14, 2024 makeups for aquatics has to be done within the aquatic season. ***Please type "I understand" or else your registration will be voided. *
I understand that I should bring snacks water, extra towels, bathing suits and anything to stay comfortable. *
I understand that for the outdoor pool locations it is my responsibility to come with the correct clothing to keep warm during the class (swim shirt, extra towels, sweats etc) if you are too cold to continue there are no refunds. ***Please type "I understand" or else your registration will be voided. *
I understand that Century Country Club (heated) and Glenbrooke Outdoor Sports Center (not heated) are outdoor facilities and that I should bring the appropriate gear to stay warm in and out of the water. I understand that Glenbrooke outdoor sports center will be a little chilly for the June 15 class *
I understand that Evie, the owner, and her staff often have to travel across a wider area spanning 1-3 hours to lead these classes. Due to the extensive travel required, classes may be subject to cancellation in cases of inclement weather. I understand that safety is a top priority of 30 to 2 LLC. *
I understand Since all payments are required in order to reserve locations for classes (pools and classrooms) THERE ARE NO REFUNDS even for low enrollment. In the event for a cancellation out of the control of 30 to 2 LLC (low enrollment, pool Maintenace issue) you will be able to move to any other available classes. There are no refunds if you can't make it. You will have 4 weeks from cancelled class to attend an alternative class. I understand that participants are only accepted until 5 min after start time for land-based classes and 10 min grace period for aquatic classes. In the event that you are late you will have to re-register and pay for another class. There are no refunds for lateness, and you will forfeit payment and be required to pay again. ***Please type "I understand" or else your registration will be voided. *
I understand there are no refunds for any reason. (Including but not limited to, the online not being done on time, not coming prepared, showing up late, failing a portion of the course etc.) ***Please type "I understand" or else your registration will be voided. *
Do you have any medical conditional the instructor should be aware of or any instructions for the instructor. I understand If I dispute a charge or file a complaint after understanding the policies, I acknowledge that I will be charged at least double the cost of the course to cover the expenses incurred in addressing the dispute or complaint. *
I understand this is a blended class requiring me to finish a self-paced online course prior to the in-person date. I understand I need to bring proof of who I am to show the instructor in order to take the class. Examples student ID, State ID etc. *
I acknowledge that if I have a medical condition, it is my responsibility to bring any necessary medical supplies, such as an inhaler, to the lifeguarding course. I will not be allowed to take the course without my medical supplies. *
I understand that by enrolling in any course with 30 to 2 and or partner companies. I consent to the possibility of my image being captured in photographs or other forms of visual media for promotional or educational purposes. *
